Match on action

A match on action is when the clips in a video are used to show continuity in the scene. Match on action is used instead of jump cutting because jump cutting looks unprofessional and match on action looks smooth and makes the video flow.

Match on action involves taking close up and long shots of the same footage to make the video flow. This means that there is no scene changes and the video makes sense to the viewer. This is called continuity.

I used match on action in stead of jump cutting because jump cutting makes the video jar and look unprofessional. Match on action gives the video a good flow and continuity so the video makes sense to the viewer. This means that the scene is easy to watch and doesn't confuse and distract the viewer.
